- Fostering tolerance and acceptance of oneself and others despite differences.
- Encouraging creativity by tapping into gifts, talents and interests.
- Inspiring positive “bee messages” such as bee tolerant, bee kind, be patient.
- Stimulating creative activity through drawing, coloring in and creative writing.

Venues and Ages
Butterbee Playshops are adjusted depending on the age level to include:
- Kindergarten - may include making play dough Butterbees.
- Elementary school
targeting grades 1, 2 and 3 - creative drawing and writing.
- Middle school
- “How Butterbees Came the Bee!” is taught as a fable with deeper messages using metaphor and symbolism. The process of self-publishing and invention is included to encourage creative ideas.
- Other venues
include: libraries, museums, hospitals, botanical gardens, community centers, bookstores, children’s gyms, birthday parties etc. |

Playshop Coordination
Every situation and venue is unique. We coordinate with the program facilitator and are open to negotiation. Below are our general parameters.
- We prefer a maximum of 100 kids per playshop. Smaller groups are preferable which allows for more personal attention.
- Number of Playshops per day: Up to 4 a day.
- Cost: $250 per presentation. Half a day $450
. Full day $800.
- Length of Playshop: Each playshop is approximately one hour.
